Xercode único representante español en el Koha Hackfest 2012

La semana del 19 al 23 de marzo ha tenido lugar el 2º encuentro internacional de la Comunidad de Koha en Europa organizado por Biblibre, en Marsella (Francia).

Durante el evento se encontraron empresas desarrolladoras y participantes activos de 7 nacionalidades: Francia, Italia, España, Suiza, Alemania, Croacia y Estados Unidos. Xercode ha sido, al igual que anteriormente, el único representante español en este congreso.

Estas jornadas se realizan para avanzar en los desarrollos de las propuestas evolutivas de Koha para la próxima versión, la 3.8.

Este año los grupos de trabajo giraron en torno a 5 temas concretos:

  • Persistencia
  • Motor de indexación
  • Ergonomía
  • Base de datos
  • Traducciones

Los desarrollos realizados durante el evento y los planificados permitirán obtener un mejor rendimiento y dotar a Koha de una serie de mejoras funcionales que lo convertirán en uno de los SIGBs más potentes y escalables de la actualidad, óptimo para bibliotecas universitarias y grandes redes bibliotecarias.
